Stephen Buck is a retired career firefighter, storyteller, outdoorsman, and spiritual guide who believes the wilderness is one of God’s oldest and most powerful classrooms. After years of leading teams, mentoring men, and navigating the pressures of modern leadership. Stephen discovered that silence, solitude, and creation had a way of revealing what noise and comfort kept hidden.
A lifelong bow hunter and lover of the outdoors, he draws on countless hours spent in the wilderness – not as an escape, but as a place of encounter.
When he isn’t writing or speaking, Stephen can be found exploring the wilderness, mentoring men, or serving at his church. Forged in the Wild is his debut work. He is married to his wife; Wendy and they have 5 children. Sons Chase and Easton and daughters Kamryn, Carley and Kennedi.
